Young Chef

Cooking amongst young people is a growing interest & a valuable life skill. Schools seem to agree & the RIBI Young Chef competition goes from strength to strength each year producing some superb quality cooking from young people aged 11 to 17.

Young Photographer

RIBI celebrates photography as a talent and an art form by offering thousands of young people the chance to demonstrate their photographic skills through the RIBI Young Photographer competition.

Technology Tournament

Teams of four Design and Technology students with an interest in engineering and science subjects are invited to apply to compete in a full day out of school event to devise and build a solution to an unseen technical task.

Young Musician

Music is an international language of talented young instrumentalists & vocalists in the world are here. This competition encourages talent by providing an opportunity for young people who enter, to show their musicality.

Youth Services

Every year, thousands of talented and dedicated young people, ages 12-30, have an incredible experience in a New Generations program.

As Rotaractors and Interactors, they serve in communities at home and abroad. Through Rotary Youth Exchange, they explore new cultures. And as Rotary Youth Leadership Awards participants, they learn skills that will help them succeed as future community leaders.

Luton Chiltern Young Chef Contest

Luton Chiltern Young Chef Contest
Luton Chiltern Rotary Club recently held its annual Young Chef competition at Barnfield College. There were twelve entries, the most competitors since our competition began six years ago. All twelve contestants are featured in the photograph below. The students were asked to prepare a nutritional two course meal for under £15. In a very close contest the runner up was Charlotte Dean Brown and the winner Jessica Walcott, both from Lealands High School. It is hoped that Jessica will go forward to the Rotary District round of the competition to be held in the New Year. The winner and runner-up received a trophy, Amazon Gift Voucher and Certificate.
